In a message to supporters the stalwart centre back said the difficult decision is based only on "travel commitments with a young family and work."
Marske United 100% supports Adam's decision. We would like to thank him for his incredible service to the club both on and off the pitch over the years and we will do our utmost to assist him in finding a suitable new team.
During his time at Marske United Adam has made 501 appearances for the Seasiders, scoring 43 goals, and sits third on our all-time appearance list.
The 33-year-old defender has played an instrumental role in helping the club's rise from the Northern League Division 2 (Step 6) to the Northern Premier League Premier Division (Step 3) and has put in some fantastic performances last season in our successful fight for survival.
'Wheats' as he is affectionately known by supporters is a Marske United legend and will always be welcome at Mount Pleasant.
All clubs interested in signing Adam should contact the Club Chairman, or CEO for further information.
