Carl, a game of two halves today, what was your assessment on today's match?

That! A game of two halves.

I thought the first half, I thought we deserved to win with the lead.

Second-half, like you said, I just don't think it went our way there.

It wasn't enough, I just said to the lads there, you know there wasn't enough effort.

What I asked for in the first half? I think we just looked like dead on our feet there.

The second-half we looked like a lot of us were just walking around at times. Not looking like runners.

Too many individual and team mistakes in the second-half and got punished for them.

We were very strong down the wings in the first half and even at the start of the second, then FC United made that change when then brought off both full backs. How do you think that impacted the game?

Oh massively. I mean when they brought the width on it did massively.

Listen they could have a lot of play on here, and do this all the time on this pitch. They play football on this pitch.

Played the game. I'm not not... I'm not knocking that.

It's just obviously when I looked at things, that we were trying to do.

I just don't think we do enough of it by getting the ball forward enough, in good areas for Bosh and into Junior.

I thought the two of them looked lively in the first half, but I don't think we we gave them anything in the second-half to feed off apart from the last minute when the ball comes across.

But like I said, I don't think they followed with us. I don't think we competed in the second half.

And you can play any formation you want it’s 11 vs 11 and if you don’t put the heart and the desire into games you are going to come out second best

And I said just after half-time, we’ll either score one and win this game or they'll score one and win the game.

And it proved like that, unfortunate for us. I keep on looking at 45 minutes, and it's the same. Play well 45, and don’t play well 45 minutes.

We've got to play well for 90 minutes, you know, like last Saturday we were outstanding against, you know, a very hard team where where we come away with three points.

Tuesday, we've got lack of effort again. Come second best.

Second-half here lack of effort, second best.

And these are things that you gotta give.

You gotta give effort when you're in this. When you're in the bottom half, you've got to give, to get out of it .

You've got to give as much effort as you can, 100% of it, and I just don't think we did in the second half.

Our quality let us down at times, but they are poors goals. They are poor goals we conceded today. You know and like I said, I think we could have had a chance in the in the first half a lot better as well and maybe come in two nil up.

But you know, we've got to move on. We gotta move on very quickly.

There's nothing we can change about that result now, that games done.

And we've gotta look forward to Warrington Rylands at home.
