Marske United manager Carl Jarrett has spoken positively about his first Seasiders signing since returning, Gateshead loanee Harrison Clark.

In an update to supporters Jarrett has given fans more detailed information on the loan arrangement as well as his own assessment of Clark’s first game against Lancaster City.

Speaking about Clark, Jarret said: “You’ve seen there on his second half performance, he’s young, he’s got lots of energy, he’s a good football player.

“We asked him to go on and do a job, put balls in behind, as much as he possibly could for us.
“Because even though that looks a good pitch out there, it is as boggy as ours, so to get a ball down and play it is very very hard.

“We are not going to the perfect football at present, where we are at the minute.

“You are going to have to do the things we are, to try and win games, and when we brought Harrison on he gave us that bit of energy around.

“ I thought Jason looked a little bit tired in the second half and I wanted to bring him off to rest him for Saturday. Which will be a really really hard game on Saturday as well.

“He (Clark) is here for 28 days, for now. You know loans aren’t massively ideal you don’t want to bring them all in all over the place.

“Unfortunately when you are at the end of the season here you know targets who you are trying to get, you might only be able to bring loans in for the next three / four weeks.

“We are working really really hard, me and Macca, to try and get some targets back. Get some new signings to strengthen the squad because I do think it needs it.

“It needs a freshen up, new ideas with my side of things. But yeah Harrison is the first one through the door.

"Hopefully a few more this week. Can’t promise anything, because it is still ongoing.

"I am looking forward to seeing him, he has got about 6-7 games before the 28 days is up and I think he will give us something different which I think we needed.
