Conner brings a wealth of sports administration experience having worked at British Weight Lifting, the national governing body for Olympic Weightlifting and Paralympic Powerlifting, in voluntary, part-time, and full-time roles capacities over a five-year period.

On a day-to-day basis, Conner is a post graduate researcher at the University of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, specialising in the subject of media & communication, where he teaches a weekly sports journalism class on audiences and fans.

Speaking about his new role Conner said “Firstly, I would like to thank the chairman and the general manager for the opportunity to get involved with such an exciting project.

“I have been a Marske United supporter for as long as I can remember, going to games with my grandad when I was kid, so I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and getting stuck in.

“This is a really exciting time for the club playing at step 3 for the first time in history, especially with all the challenges that brings at such a competitive level.

“I am looking forward to supporting the media team, collaborating with the commercial committee, and working with everyone across the club to try and take it to the next level.”

General Manager Bob Ryan said "This is a great opportunity for the club to move forward with its digital footprint. With Conner's experience he can help drive the off the field activities for the club with the help of the media and commercial teams."

Conner’s first game in post will be at Whitby Town (away) on Tuesday. Before then, the Seasiders are back in action at home against Hyde United at Mount Pleasant on Saturday at 3pm.
