4 wins out of 6 as the Seasiders prepare for competitive Football once more

After todays game it draws our pre season to an end. Kas and I have got alot to look back and reflect on. In the short time that we have been in charge we have managed to assemble a young, talented and hungry squad who all want to fight for their shirt and the club. We have appointed Craig Hill (Craggsey) as first team coach who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience due to his full time work at T6 football academy.

Looking back at our very first game V Knaresborough we could see that the lads instantly gelled even in that short space of time; coming away with the victory gave us alot of positives to work with. The highlight of pre season for us was the Spenny game, a team 3 leagues higher showed us the work rate and character of our young squad and cemented our hope that we can be competitive in this league!! Todays defeat on pens was disappointing but it is the harsh reality of what can happen being 2 nil up with 15 minutes to go. We can learn from this going forward though.

When we first found out that we would be playing in NL1 we were a bit worried; but with the backing of the Chairman and Wardy things have come together and we are really excited for a hard season ahead. We want to thank the loyal supporters that have already came out and backed us and hope to see you all over the coming season. Football is back at Marske United
