Marske United are counting the cost of deliberate and malicious acts of vandalism which caused the referee to postpone the game despite the hard work of the volunteers to try to get repaired quickly.
This has been a massive blow to the club as everything was in situ for this game until precautionary checks on the floodlights at 6pm saw that a number had been damaged.
The club would like to thank those volunteers who worked hard to try to get the damage repaired. We would also like to thank the understanding and support from all supporters and especially those who had travelled from South Shields. The message of support s we have received from South Shields supporters has been greatly appreciated.

The cost of the repairs to the lights will be into the thousands and Marske United are reminding supporters of their Go Fund Me campaign which hopefully can go some way to paying for the repairs needed.
